AI summary of pay gap & DEI
AI summary of pay gap & DEI
When AI summary is enabled (a SuperAdmin turns on aiPayGapNarrative under Feature flags), the admin gets a card at the bottom of the DEI & engagement page. The card produces a plain-language explanation of the same aggregated figures already shown in the tables above.
How it works. Click Create AI summary. The AI receives only the aggregated key figures — shares, counts and group averages per segment, the pay gap (women’s pay as a percentage of men’s), plus engagement and eNPS — and writes a few paragraphs explaining what the numbers say, ending with 1–3 cautiously worded focus areas. Changing the selected survey clears the summary; click again for a new one.
No individual data leaves the tool. The AI never receives raw salaries, names, email addresses or individual survey responses — only the aggregated numbers that have already cleared the anonymity threshold. Segments below the threshold are already redacted and are never sent to the model. If there is too little data above the threshold, no summary is produced and the model is not called at all.
Which AI provider is used is governed by the organization’s aiProvider setting (the same as the other AI features). The summary is Admin-only and always covers only the caller’s own organization’s data.
